Kottu Rotti
Kottu Roti is one of the insanely popular Sri Lankan street food that is eaten by Sri Lankans of all types. This has become very popular among crowds as late-night sustenance. The main ingredients are sliced godhamba roti (flaky flatbread), scrambled eggs, onion, chillies and spices mixed with vegetables and choice of your meat. Kottu roti is prepared by cooking and chopping all the ingredients together on a heated flat griddle. Chef uses two large metal chopping blades to mash everything together on the griddle vigorously; that rare cooking style is called chopping style cooking. Sri Lankan kottu makers add a rhythm and melody to their chopping to make it more enjoyable.
